Savour the delicious enjoyment of this exotically spiced, milky sweet, anytime beverage. A remarkable feature of Pukka Chai is the way it helps to keep your body temperature comfortable, cool in summer, warm in winter. In India where the heat can rocket to 49 C in the shade, you’ll find the entire populace downing a cup after cup of masala chai.

Add three level spoonfulls of Pukka Chai to a cup or mug with freshly boiled water. Stir well, sit back and feel the waves of comfort flow over you.

An aromatic blend of traditional tea masala flavourings; cinamon, green cardamon, ginger root and clove, sugar, milk powder (whey, corn syrup, wheat protein, dipotassium, phosphate, vegetable oil, anti caking agent, betacarotene, riboflavin, vitamins A and D3) all flavourings are freshly ground from whole spices to ensure optimum flavour and aroma.

Whey protein is a by-product of the cheese making process, so it would be natural to think that whey protein contains lactose. However whey protein isolate contains less than 1 percent lactose.

PUKKA has a range of award winning teas based on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda – ‘the art of living wisely.’ Pukka is a Hindi word meaning ‘authentic’, ‘genuine’ or more colloquially ‘top quality’. It comes from the Sanskrit ‘pakwa’ and this sentiment of offering the best quality organic Ayurvedic herbs and service is what Pukka is all about. Pukka was founded in 2001 by Sebastian Pole, an Ayurvedic practitioner, and Tim Westwell, formerly in business development for the IT industry. With just a few thousand pounds and a mutual passion for promoting well-being and providing 100% organic Ayurvedic herbal remedies and teas the company began. Eco, ethical and quality standards are top priority:
•Herbs are ecologically grown from sustainable managed projects organically certified by the Soil Association and can be traced back to the fields from where they were grown.
•Herbs are sourced directly from farming co-operatives Pukka have helped set up in India and Sri Lanka ensuring the farmers are paid a fair wage (they currently pay 50-200% above market rates for raw materials). They work directly with over 500 families growing Ayurvedic herbs organically planting over 1,000,000 plants and trees per year.
•Manufacturing in the UK is under tight restrictions in accordance with UK medicines standards.
•All teas and remedies are carefully formulated by Sebastian who draws on his expertise in growing herbs, organic cultivation and professional training in herbal medicine. Herbs are blended according to Good Manufacturing Procedures and authentically tested to European quality standards.
•Pukka is Carbon Neutral and invest in renewable and sustainable energy projects as well as reforestation programmes. All aspects of the business carbon emissions from Field to Shelf are off-set by donations to Climate Care. Climate Care makes donations to energy saving projects.
•Internal recycling helps prevent wastage as does a commitment to using recycled paper and vegetable inks when possible.
